Over the many years as a physician assistant (PA) student, certified PA and Chief of Service for the physician assistant practice at the NYC Health + Hospitals I Woodhull, you demonstrated excellence in medical knowledge, clinical skills and leadership. Your performance as a student was outstanding and it was an easy decision to have you join my Emergency Department team as a colleague when you graduated. Your clinical excellence over several years as a practitioner in the Emergency Department was at the highest level of our profession. The patients you clinically cared for were always so appreciative for your expertise and the manner in which you displayed empathy was a tremendous example to the entire staff. Your outstanding professional skills and habits displayed the best of humanity in our profession. All of us depended on your input and actions. The team performed much better each time you had input into our system of care and our outcomes were much improved with these actions. We all also admired your outstanding leadership skills as Chief. As the clinical leader for developing the first emergency triage index system at a level 2 trauma center in New York City, with necessary protocols for early care, you displayed great foresight in the process. Therefore, colleague and friend, it is with tremendous pride I congratulate you on your new mission at Sameday. This endeavor will serve to help heal many in your community.
